Over the beautiful, balmy 75 degree weekend, we sat at our oldest son’s baseball game, that overlooked the Pacific Ocean.
My youngest, who is rowdy *to put it lightly, kept BEGGING me to let him play a video game on my iPhone. After multiple “NO’s”, I finally told him to go play in the dirt on the hill. After a bit, you see the flock of younger boys ((who have been dragged there with their families to watch their older siblings play baseball)) playing on this tall hill, collecting sticks and looking for lost treasures. As I took in the smell of the ocean air, and the tween boy stench from the dugout, I thought …
Yep, my Orange County boys need to get dirty a little bit more….
Ironically, this blog by Monat popped into my feed, and although it only touches the surface on how important it is for our kids to get out and get dirty, I thought I would share….after all, #godmadedirtanddirtdonthurt…right? #earthday2018 weekend
Happy Monday All!
